About
Hello, you.
My name is Grace, and I was born in Blumenau β in the south of Brazil.
My first introduction to technology was when my father brought home a computer in 1991. He introduced me to MS Paint and he would allow me to play when he was not working. At age 6, I had a lot of fun with that simple application.
In retrospect, I believe that the early merge of pixels, play, and technology would guide my professional choices later on π

Fast forward to the early 2000βs, I was in high school and started designing websites as a hobby. Then, as people seemed to like what I was doing, I started freelancing to buy books. I quickly fell in love with information architecture and user experience.
At 18 years old, together with starting my bachelorβs degree in Communication, I have founded an IT business (hosting and developing websites). I enjoyed spending time talking with customers and designing. As the business grew, we welcomed new team members, new infrastructure, hundreds of iterations of our website, and by 2015 we were supporting 1400 clients.
After a design-led redesign, the business saw a revenue increase of over 30% - I found fascinating that it was possible to create human, ethical experiences while also generating strong business outcomes. At that moment, I was already living at Denmark and studying Organizational Innovation at Copenhagen Business School.
So I decided it was time to go Frozen βοΈ and βLet it goβ β selling the company so I could work with digital design full time.
Then I joined Danfoss supporting the efforts on Design Transformation by starting and growing a UX Community of Practice, inspiring the community to adopt design methodologies.
From then on, I had the opportunity to take a few roles within digital development, always keeping the outside-in focus.
